I can confirm that Papervision3D will be available for download on December 2006.
The exact date will be announced as soon as it’s determined. There’s still a lot of work to do, including the API documentation and (at least) one easy to understand example.
An early developers beta will be available to those that have subscribed to the project’s email list.
[Update: As you might have guessed, the public release date has been postponed. More news soon. Keep tuned.]

Hi Carlos,
The work of the PaperVision3D- Developer Team is really great! I enjoy the whole project.
But you should keep up to date regarding the public. E.g. you should change this post here as the announced release date ‘December 2006′ is nearly six weeks ago, and the people outside are still waiting
Another issue, focusing on the procedure of downloading the project files (“revision”) – an often arising topic:
1. Every new member (in the mailing list) has to spend a lot of time just to receive the link to the developer files.
2. It is a pain to be forced to install a special download-program just to get every single file.
I am sure you would do a lot of people who are interested in your project a big pleasure, if you mention the download link on your website, and furthermore and more important: just zip or rar the whole revision and put the packed file in the root folder. Then the community has just to download one file / that would make life easier…
Please take into consideration that the “access” to a project often decides about the size of its success!
As more people are involved as bigger your success and your publicity and of course the feedback will be!
Greetings from Lithuania, Vilnius!

Hi Vilnius,
Papervision3D will be public released only when I feel that the code and most important, the API are stable.
When that happens, of course there will be a single file for anyone to download from the browser.
In the meantime, the project is in private beta testing by the subscribers of the mailing list.
That means they have to use the SVN repository, which is an excellent tool to manage this process.
If people are not comfortable with this, it would be better for them to wait for the public release.
