On behalf of the Papervision3D team, I am very pleased to welcome Tim Knip as new core member of the project.
Born in 1966 in Amsterdam, studied architecture in Delft, where he still lives. Worked for several architects, before joining Suite75 where he became one of the partners. Their latest work is floorplanner.com, a very cool online app to create and share interactive floor plans.
His initial focus will be on frustrum culling, animation and much improved COLLADA support. His work will greatly enhance the capabilities of the engine. What else do you expect from a man that wants to port Quake 2 to Flash?
Welcome aboard Tim!

This is very exciting to know that many people around Flash are basically architects by qualification. I hope to get a niche in this world too

This is very exciting to hear someone is coming in to work on improving COLLADA support. When can we expect to see a new version with some of these changes from Tim?
