It’s my pleasure to announce to you that Papervision3D trainings are finally coming to Europe! After John Grden’s sessions in the US, the Rich Media Institute and FITC will now host a session in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The 2 day workshop will be hosted by me, Ralph Hauwert, and throughout these sessions we will go in depth with Papervision3D for developers, but we’ll also leave plenty of space for designers to enjoy the workshop and get up to speed with the latest and greatest with 3D in Flash. You’ll leave this workshop with a total grasp of Papervision3D, enabling you to do exiting 3D work for your sites! Read more details at the RMI site.
”This will be 2 days of 3D heaven focusing on primarily Developer driven topics and issues. Designers who have some coding skills will get a lot out of this as well as we’re not writing 3D math code, but taking an in-depth look at the PV3D engine and how to use the API in any given situation for Flash work. We’ll cover scenes, cameras, camera types, materials, material types, loading, COLLADA, Flex2 development, the CS3 Component (latest and future versions), 3D workflow in an agency type setting, animation, texturing (UVW, 3D apps, and how they apply to PV3D work). “
Pricing for the 2 days is set at 450 Euro’s, but with discount code ‘rhauwert’ you get another 10% off!

I can join training only over the weekend, working days are not good for me. For you people going to Amsterdam, I recommend Red Light District area

This looks very interesting! Having just completed our first website in papervision3d We will do our best to be there, even though Amsterdam is not near at all…
To all you designers of papervision3d, congratulations on an incredible tool. The only problem to us seems to be the steep learning curve, creating a divide between developer oriented features and designer avalaible tools. AS 3.0 marked quite a step in the direction of programming language vs ease of use in Flash, Papervision3d should do its best to avoid coding headaches and to allow tools for visual creativity.
Keep up the good work!

Ciao Cosimo,
http://www.egonmagazine.com/ is looking really, really great. I’m in an awful hurry to put together an interesting way to present a simple collection of images much like your magazine.
Do please get in touch; I’d really appreciate the source to your work. If it’s not open perhaps we could trade?
Thank you,
Peter
