Electric Rain has announced today that their product, Swift3D will support export for Papervision3D in the upcoming release. Quote :
“Swift 3D will also be capable of converting existing models in the .3DS and .DXF file format into Papervision3D projects, creating all the necessary ActionScript 3.0, FLA, and 3D files needed to run the project without doing any hand coding.”

Good, Swift 3D is a nice cheap 3D modeling tool that is quite powerful. I was hoping that it would get Papervision 3D support before I bought version 5, so now I’ll have to get it…

So far I haven’t found much practical use for Swift 3d, but if they make it easy to get models into Papervision I see a lot of people picking it up.
