BeHere Did this years ago, and used to sell the lens and cameras to do it. Their resolution back in 1999/2000 was not the best since digital video resolution was pretty limited, but their lenses used a non-proprietary connection to the camera so you should be able to connect them to newer hd cameras. Good luck finding the full lenses though as they seem not to be selling them or even focusing on that aspect of the 360 video any more. Originally they used and ActiveX control to display the video, and when I was working with them through Ferris Productions we had worked to create a version of the control that actually used the Virtual IO headset tracker to adjust the user view to wherever they turned their head. It worked nicely, but we did have some issues with head tracking needing to be reset every so often due to drift in the sensor.

Immersive Media (http://www.immersivemedia.com/) is the company that developed the 360 camera. Correct me if I'm wrong but Immersive Media isn't selling the camera. They are selling the service. Thats what their sales person said anyways.

So they got the cool toy but they're not sharing (or selling rather) with the other kids. Guess we'll have to wait till a 360 camera is developed for consumer use.

How does someone like me, who is into 'Photo 360' aquire, learn and implement Video 360? In fact, how do I migrate to something like this? What hardware and softwares do i require?
