The great Den Ivanov has been working lately in a couple of beautiful toys featuring 3D plants.
The first one is an experiment with portals where you change the season by entering the different doors. Drag mouse to rotate, scroll mouse wheel for zooming & walking through portals.
The second one, his Plant3D class, generates a different tree whenever you refresh the page. Some months ago Grant Skinner did another interesting experiment in this direction.
Den’s blog is a great source of inspiration where you will find some other cool examples of PV3D code.

Creating 3D is really easy these days with all the new 3D engines around, but what is difficult is coming up with new and interesting ways to use it. Both of these examples are really imaginative and inspiring, good work.

Is that trees shadow produced dynamically, or do you think its a part of the graphic? Is it using the shadowCaster class?
