An open-source project without a community to back it up is like an idling car with no one around to drive. We’re very grateful to everyone who uses Papervision3D and helps us to make the project better. In an effort to provide a quality developer community portal, we’d like to announce the (frequently requested) FORUMS!
We hope the forums will provide a place for developers to ask/answer questions and share what they’re working on. Forums come with the added benefit of being able to place inline images, swfs, and code. Now you won’t have to visit multiple links from an e-mail to understand and answer a simple question. Also, you’ll have the ability to permalink to a specific topic as well as have all the search engines hunt down relevant posts. All in all, we believe it’s a step in the right direction for sharing community knowledge.
Teach Flash, Win Flex!
In the spirit of building a forum community, we’re announcing our first forum sponsored competition with a prize of Flex Builder 3. I would go into all the details, but why don’t you just read about it here:

Hey guys, sorry to put this here, but need to ask a quick question…
Is there any reason that functions would continue to run after a removeChild has been called?
I have all my papervision code inside 1 movieClip which I am calling from the main timeline, and yet when you removeChild, it continues to run the event.ENTER_FRAME function… killing me.
